Hadfield Auskick
The NAB AFL Auskick program at Hadfield makes learning to play AFL fun, safe and easy for boys and girls. Through weekly coaching sessions children will learn the skills of the game in an exciting, social and safe environment, catering for children from Kindergarten through to Grade 6. For the 2023 season, this means born no later than 31st Dec 2018.
The children will learn the fundamental motor skills vital for future physical activity and sport participation as well as learning how to interact with other children as part of a team in small group activities.
The program also provides a great opportunity for parents to interact with their kids through the activities, have the opportunity to make new friends, learn about the game and spend quality time with their children.
Hadfield Football Club – WELCOMES All boys and girls aged from 5 – 10 years to come and play Aussie Rules Footy with us for Season 2024
Auskick is an introductory program to Australian Rules Football teaching the basic skills of the game which include kicking, marking, handball, picking up, bouncing, evasion and ruck work. Along with learning the basic skills, kids get to experience fun games and play a modified version of AFL.
AFL Auskick is NON CONTACT which makes it suitable for GIRLS and BOYS from the ages of 4 to 12 years old to participate (or 4yo kinder to grade 6). Not only will the kids have fun, but parents are encouraged to get involved and have just as much fun. Auskick is runs for 19 weeks, every Friday with each session going for up to 1.5 hours.
There are many questions that parents want to know about Auskick before starting or even registering. Below are some of the main ones we get asked.
How much does Auskick cost?
Costs for NAB AFL Auskick varies between locations and centres. If you go to our website play.afl/auskick and find the centre you wish to register for. When you select this Centre a new tab will open in PlayHQ, our registration provider where you can view season details, price and other important information.
I missed a couple of weeks, is there a reduced fee?
Unfortunately, not. Our NAB AFL Auskick registration fee is a flat fee and there is no reduction if you have missed a couple of weeks.
Can I receive a refund?
We understand that at times circumstances change for families and your child can not longer participate in the NAB AFL Auskick program. Please contact the State Office auskick@aflvic.com.au and they will inform you of the refund policy and process. If the pack delivery information has been sent to the mail house, then you will need to receive the pack, and return it to us in order to receive a refund.
What age can my children play?
Children can start playing NAB AFL Auskick in the year that they turn five. Children can participate in Auskick until they are 12, however, some States and Territories have different pathway options. Our recommendation for any children over the age of nine is to contact our friendly Customer Service team prior to registering, where they can give you information of what is available in your location and whether Auskick is the best fit still or whether Community Football or our Social competitions and programs is better suited.
Do you have any girls only groups?
Yes, we do.
Can I pay cash on my first day of Auskick?
NO CASH is taken by our Auskick centre. All payments for NAB AFL Auskick are made online at the time of registration.
Do I have to wait with my child?
For any community/club Auskick centres, an adult needs to be present for your child for the duration of the session. We love all parents/guardians to assist at Auskick so why not get involved in your child’s group.
Wet Weather
In some cases where our staff and volunteers deem it unsafe Auskick will not run. Volunteers and staff will endeavour to provide this information prior to the session if practically possible.
Can my child transfer from one Auskick Centre to another?
Yes. Simply email aflauskick@afl.com.au and they will help to find you a new Auskick Centre. There is no cost to transfer but the new Auskick Centre does need to approve the transfer. The NAB AFL Auskick customer service team will be able to sort out this approval for you.
Please note they are unable to transfer your child between different programs, e.g from a School to a Community centre. Please email Auskick Customer Service Team to discuss your options.
My child is no longer able to attend, can I transfer their registration to another child?
Please email Auskick at aflauskick@afl.com.au and their friendly Customer SupportTeam can discuss your options.
